If your mobile news app does not seem to be working properly, you may need to update either the specific App Software, the Store Software, or the OS Software.


Android Systems

  • To check if an app needs to be updated:
  • Login to the App-Store with the same account you used to purchase/free-download your apps.
    •  Select the "Options" menu (three lines icon in the upper left corner) >> "My Apps" >> Look for any apps that say "Update" at the top of the app list.  "Update the Specific App", or "Update All".
  • To check if the OS software needs to be updated:
    • Go into your device's "Settings" >> "About Device" >> "Software Update" >> "Check for Updates".


iOS Systems

  • To check if an app needs to be updated:
    • Login to the App-Store with the same account you used to purchase/free-download your apps.
    • In the "Apps" tab, click on the bottom right "nn updates available" notice.
    • The apps needing/having updates are listed. Click on the upper right "download free updates" button. (Some updates are not free, and you need purchase them.)
    • After downloads end, you can sync your iOS device.


  • To check if the OS software needs to be updated:
    • Plug in your device to a power source.
    • Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
    • Tap Download and Install. Updates might download automatically while your device is connected to Wi-Fi and a power source.
    • Tap Install, or tap Later to install the update later. If you use a passcode, you'll need to enter it before installing the update.
